Job Purpose

The purpose of the Business Intelligence Executive role is to:
•Provide research, insight and knowledge management services to internal clients, to inform and enable business decisions and;
•Add value to the firm’s business development efforts via quality research and insight.
•To work with the client facing teams to establish a database of clients for whom we can reference in proposals

Clients

This role will provide support nationally across the firm.

Job Role
•Be the primary point of contact for all business intelligence, research and insight requests from within the firm, manage expectations and respond in a timely manner.
•Co-ordinate, high quality intelligence on our core strategic markets (Financial Services, Public Services, Entrepreneurial Businesses, SMEs, Private Clients, Large & Listed Companies) and key accounts, enabling out Strategic Market Leaders to make key business decisions.
•Utilise database interrogation and extraction skills to support the CRM team members and the business with data reports from the CRM and other internal database systems.
•Maintain and develop our internal Knowledge Hub, with key data which is used in pitches and tenders

•Work collaboratively with Marketing & Business Development Managers, providing research and insight on target companies covering issues and trends facing the target company and their industry sector, giving our business development team valuable, commercial insight. Note: these reports may be produced internally or via our third party supplier.

•Support the firm’s research and insight tools programme.

•provide user training and support as needed
•report on usage and gather internal feedback
•support the CRM Manager in managing licences/renewals
•Provide other ad-hoc business intelligence tasks as required by the business.

Person Specification
•Understand data and its limitations, with the ability to probe and question findings.
•Ability to add value and produce high quality research reports.
•Expertise using specialist intelligence databases e.g. Fame, Experian, Capital IQ, Signal
•Able to take responsibility for scoping an assignment from taking the initial brief, through to completion and successful delivery of the output.
•Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data spreadsheets.
•Experience of extracting and interrogating data from a CRM system.
•Ability to confidently interact and engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation from graduates through to board level, as well as Third Party Suppliers.
•IT savvy, strong problem solving nature.
•Ability to work on own initiative and trusted with limited supervision.
•Excellent attention to detail.
•Highly committed individual focused on delivery.
•Excellent communication and listening skills.
•Prioritise and manage a busy workload effectively, often under pressure.
•A flexible approach towards work and supportive to fellow team members.
